In-House Editorial Services

Our staff is composed of individuals with vast editorial experience. We believe that each project needs an individual touch, which is why we also offer flexible options when it comes to our services. As of January 2024, you do not have to publish with us to request in-house editorial services.

Developmental Edit

The editor will read the entire manuscript and leave comments on the pages to address concerns around structure, character, voice, pacing, and more. The developmental edit also includes an in-depth editorial letter designed to walk the author through any suggested larger edits.

Copy edit

A copy edit is a check for grammar, spelling, and punctuation mistakes. The copy editor will work to ensure tone, voice, clarity, and flow of the writing. This includes leaving comments on the page where necessary and making minor revisions to the manuscript itself.

Proofread

A proofreader will point out any misspelled words, punctuation mistakes, or grammatical errors on the book after it’s been formatted for printing. They will also check the file to make sure that no errors were introduced in the formatting process.
