Onion River Workshop - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
I can no longer make it to the class I signed up for – can I get a refund?
We do not offer refunds, but we’d be more than happy to issue you a credit that you can use toward a future class! As long as you reach out before 11:59pm two days before your class start, we will give you a class credit in the amount you paid. If you reach out in the two days before the class, unfortunately we will not be able to provide any compensation. If we need to cancel a class for any reason, then we will offer all participants a full class credit for the future.
But what if it’s an emergency?
Please feel free to contact us at onionriverworkshop@gmail.com, and we’ll do what we can to accommodate you.
I have to cancel at the last minute – what do I do?
Reach out to us at onionriverworkshop@gmail.com, and we’ll notify your instructor as quickly as possible.
Where are your classes held?
Our classes are either online over Zoom or in person. All participants will be sent an email prior to their class date with more information about the Zoom or about the physical location.
What supplies should I bring to my class?
We recommend bringing a pen and a notebook or a computer/tablet – whatever you prefer to take notes on. All other handouts or necessary supplies will be provided by your instructor.
Who are these classes for?
Most of our classes are for writers of any level who are looking to hone their craft and/or try something new. We always aim to outline who the specific audience is in each class description, so please look there for more info. Unless otherwise stated, all classes are for adults 18 and up.
I don’t want to pay online; is there another option for me?
Yep! You can mail us a check to 191 Bank Street, Burlington, VT 05401 or arrange to pay in person by reaching out to onionriverworkshop@gmail.com. We do ask that you pay in full at least one week in advance to secure your place in the class. All classes are first-come-first-served, and maximum sizes are listed in each class description.
I want to join a class, but none of the times work for me. What can I do?
You can sign up for our newsletter to stay up-to-date on all information about future classes! We are planning on running certain classes more than once throughout the year.
But I don’t live in Burlington! How can I still take a class?
Yes! We offer classes online and in person. Just be sure to check the class description to make sure you’re signing up for an online or in person offering.
